Wife of Hall of Fame player and former NFLPA president, John Mackey, she is a leading figure in the charge of public awareness and policy change within the NFL and the NFLPA. She is also the figure head and sounding board for the wives of players once they realize something has gone drastically wrong. She is often the first person they call when they realize their husbands have become men they no longer recognize. Quite simply she’s a force of nature. We interviewed Sylvia several times for this film including the last footage captured of her late husband.
